Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint
Overall, my carbon footprint was pretty decent. I happened to be below average on all the categories, (transportation, home energy, food, and purchases) except transportation. My transportation was above average because in the summer my family goes camping almost every week. We could reduce this by camping closer to home or going less often. Although my home energy carbon footprint was below average, I could still reduce it by unplugging chargers when I'm done or turning lights off when I leave the room. My food category was also below average. I could still reduce it by using more reusable containers and going out to eat less. Last but not least, my purchases category was below average. I could lessen it even more buy making sure I get things that I need rather than what I want.
Just because your average for home energy was below average, you shouldn't try to make it high.
