Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint (Mooresville, North Carolina, USA)
Hi my name is Valerie and I am 15 years old and am a freshman at Mooresville High school.
Transportation: 13, 441
Home: 4,937
Food: 2,614
Purchases: 356
Total: 21,349
Most of my total was from my transportation and I think it was mostly because majority of the time I am usually out doing something which mostly involves driving. When i saw my total I was surprised by how high it was and I learned that In the future I should try to start walking to the places that are fairly close, carpool, or try to decrease my amount of going out.
I agree with you on the fact that you should start walking places or carpool. Carpooling is a great way to conserve energy, along with decreasing your carbon footprint. Great post.
