Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My name is Christopher I go to school at Mooresville North Carolina of United States. My age is 18 years old.

Transportation- 2,433kg

Home- 2,831

Food- 1,587

Purchases- 533

Total Footprint= 7,384

The Carbon footprint in my region is 15,918. My carbon footprint is 7,384 which means I am below average in my region. I was highest in home because I have 4 people living in my house.  This means that more people are using more appliances in my home. I thought I was going to be higher in transportation because I go two work 3 times a week and I go to the mall 2 times a week. I should not work as much to save gas.
