Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint
My name is Trista Belcher, I’m 14 and I’m from Mooresville, NC. My total footprint is 8,089. My carbon footprint was about average and the majority of my carbon footprint came from my house. I expected my results to be higher than average, I thought it would've been a higher than it was. I was surprised that most of my footprint came from my house, because I make a lot of purchases. I think I’m going to pay more attention to the amount of energy I could be wasting in my house and begin to cut down on it.
You should try to lower purchases for things that aren't as necessary as others and that would make a big change in your carbon footprint.
Maybe not to buy so much stuff that is not needed and Should buy the stuff that is needed.
I think it's a good thing that your carbon footprint wasn't as high as you thought. However, maybe you could limit the things you buy.
It is a good thing that it wasn't as high because now you know that you are doing good
It is okay that your expectations aren't as high as you thought they would be but you should probably limit yourself on how much stuff you buy.
You should cut down on purchases it would help improve you carbon footprint.
Your carbon footprint is a lot lower than mine. I should lower mine too.
