Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Hello :)

tamarak

I predicted that my  footprint would be about the same as the average person in Croatia, and the world.
Based on my input, my total footprint is 13650 kg of CO₂ per year, compared to an average of 5736 kg for Croatia, and 3791 kg (= 8358 lb) worldwide.

I also predicted that I would be about average, but I was much higher than average for my area. My carbon footprint was 19,809. Why do you think your carbon footprint was higher? For me, it was because of transportation. I was below average in all other areas.
