Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint

Hongly

My Carbon Footprint is 6000kg, the majority of my Carbon footprint is food. I produce 4201 Kg and that is a lot of Co2, so from now on I will start to decrease my Footprint. By decreasing electricity and water I need to turn off the fans when I don't use it and turn off the lights. To decrease the water I need to take less time to shower to save water.

Sreynith

As you mentioned, you said that the majority of your carbon footprint is from food. Do you have any idea on how you're going to reduce it? Since you only tell on how to reduce the electricity and water.

Hello, my carbon footprint is 6761kg. I am lower than Slovenian and worldwide avarage. The most of my carbon footprint comes from home. I think i use too much water and electricy. But i am happy with my result, because I was sure I would have above avarage.

Hello to all of you big_smile My total footprint is 7915 kg. Majority comes from my home. It is almost twice as the average Slovenian. I am trying to reduce it, but it is hard.  I think our home is not that good isolated. We also use much electricity, mostly because I am always cold. Nothing new xD. Have a great day .
