Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Food Habits
Hi everybody! My name is Ivan. I'm from Croatia. I study at the Gymnasium in Požega. My carbon footprint is 5359 kg. Comparing to the average Croatian( 5736 kg) my footprint is a little bit lower. I was surprised when I realized that I have to change my eating habits. My average calorie consumption per day is 1645 kcal. It has turned out that I should eat more vegetarian meals, fish and chicken and less beef and pork. I rarely eat organic and locally grown food food but it is good news that I do not buy food in take-away eateries very often. However I must admit that I almost never bring my reusable food containers and that we do not always compost our vegetable scraps at home. I will do my best to change it in future...
