The pollutants in the environment, it is very diverse. Depending on their nature, concentration, time of action on the human body, they can cause various side effects. Short-term exposure to small concentrations of these substances can cause dizziness, nausea, sore throat, cough. Ingestion of large human concentrations of toxic substances can lead to loss of consciousness, acute poisoning and even death. An example of such action may be smog in major cities in calm weather, or accidental releases of toxic substances into the atmosphere by industrial enterprises.

The reactions of the organism to pollution depends on the individual characteristics: age, sex, state of health. As a rule, the more vulnerable children, the elderly and the elderly, sick people.
