Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Valeria Pineda Carbon Footprint

thev

Hello, my name is Valeria Pineda but my friends call me V. I'm a freshmen (9th grade) at Mooresville High School which is located in Mooresville, NC.
My total footprint is 29,145 which is way above my region average footprint. I was kind of surprised because I just came to this country 3 years ago and I don't really do to much but since I started to take the NJROTC class I've being everywhere and plus I like to stay active so I think thats another think but my surprised was that my food average was high but not as higher because I love to eat. I like this project because it tells me what I need to decrease on my personal footprint. I've seen a lot of stuff but the opportunity to see what I'm doing to this earth makes me sad so now I know that I have to help the planet. So thank you to my teacher and the people who are in charge of this project.
