Carbon Footprint in the United States
My carbon footprint turned out to be higher than the average in my state at 12, 348 kilograms. This is mostly due to transportation. I mostly drive myself. What really hurt my total was that I have to drive quite a distance for sports practice each week. Also, where I live it can be pretty cold in winter so we use our heat more than average. My food and purcahse categories were well below the average in my region. I don't spend a lot of money on new clothes and my family eats fairly healthy. We also are big on recycling and reusing things like plastic bags.
