Hi my name is Preston Popp, I am in 9th grade at Mooresville High School which is in Mooresville, NC, USA. I was assigned this project by Mrs. Flanary, my science teacher, to determine our carbon footprint.

I was not supirsed at all that my carbon footprint results are above average. I go place to place everyday for my extracurricular activites. Going all over for soccer, made me not surprised that my transportation is very high. My home usage isn't that high I think because I am always on the go. I turn off the lights and turn off the water when I am not in use. My food section is low because I am always doing something so I usually only eat once a day. I thought my purchases would come out high but compared to my region they are accutally low. Most of my footprint cam from my transportation because I drive a lot to soccer workouts/practices. I can cut down on my carbon footprint by walking to more places that I am able too and finding better ways to do things without carbon around my house.
I really like your writing and I think that what you want to do with your footprint is awesome.
