Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Palo Alto Student Footprint
My footprint was mostly comprised of air travel (transportation). I found that I got a good average and it was better than I expected. My family could improve to be more eco -friendly but the change that would really be the most significant would be to eliminate flying even though I don't think that would be easy to do.
My footprint was mostly comprised of food .
My footprint was also made up of a lot of air travel. I found that I was around 2.5 times over the average. This is due to me traveling a lot and when you travel far, it increased my footprint for a lot. The change I would also need to make would to be to regulate how much I fly and see if there is a more eco-friendly way of transportation.
