Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon FootPrint
Jake, Mooresville, NC USA and 15 years old
My carbon footprint compared to my classmates seems very high. My transportation category was to blame because it was almost 14,000. The rest of my categories were pretty close which surprised me most in purchases. I thought I shopped a lot but I guess my classmates do too. My total was 13,943 and this was far above average for my class. What surprised me was others footprint compared to mine.
We both are at basically the same score but are caused by different reasons. So we both just need to cut down.
Why was your transportation so high? I think that if you shop a lot it doesn't mean that you have a big carbon footprint, I think it is what you buy,
