Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint

joelledavis

Hi, Im Joelle and I am 15 years old. I am from Mooresville, NC, USA. My carbon footprint is about the same as my region. It was 16,083 which is just a little above the regions average. I think this is because I go a lot of places. I have sports everyday, which means my mom has to take me and pick me up. I expected to be about the same or above the region, so I wasn't surprised with my total. What I can do to reduce my carbon footprint is to not use cars as much and to find other ways to get places.
