Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint

ashlyndh

Hello, my name is Ashlyn. I am from Mooresville, North Carolina, USA. My total carbon footprint is 6954. The average number for our state is 15918. My personal footprint is way below the average, most of my carbon is used because of the home. I was sort of surprised by how low it is but at the same time not really because my family is very conscious about the things we do to our home and how it impacts the world around us. Things i could do to lower my carbon footprint is to carpool a bit more or walk places, or use public transit
