Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint

Zach1234

My name is Zach, I live in Mooresville North Carolina, United States of America. My total footprint was 20,624. Most of my total came from transportation. I expected that because I travel for vacations. I learned that where you live has a very big impact on your results. I would disagree if i traveled less.

I also agree that where you live can have a big impact because if you lived where you have to travel and take planes too you would probably be below the average.
