My Carbon Footprint (Mooresville, NC, USA)
My name is Jake and I am from Mooresville, NC, USA. I am 15 years old. My total carbon footprint is 16,134 which is above average. The majority of my carbon footprint came from home. I think the reason that my home carbon footprint was high is because we use a lot of energy for heating and cooling our home during certain months. I was surprised that my transportation wasn’t higher because my family travels a lot and I am a busy person. I learned that even though there are only three people in my home, my carbon footprint still adds up. In our home we could begin conserving things like water when we brush our teeth, shorten our showers and use less heat in our home.
I can relate to using a lot of energy in my home too! Also I totally agree with shortening the showers so you conserve more water and energy, great job!
