MY Family Footprint
If I had my own home, I would make it energy efficient by changing my electricity from a power line into solar energy. My house would be in somewhere with lots of sunshine and near places with local produce such as in Sacramento. I would live near public transportation and buy an electric car (tesla) to lower my carbon dioxide emissions in the atmosphere. I would rather spend $25k on solar energy and save money over time than continue to be using electricity from power lines. I would also invest in the $80k tesla and make my money back in the future.

I agree that I would rather spend more on solar energy than other energy sources because in the long run it would be cheaper than paying an electric bill since it is a one-time expense.
