Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Mary Ensalaco
Hi my name is Mary, I live in Mooresville, North Carolina, United States, and I am 15 years old. My total carbon footprint is 6,569 out of 15,882 for my region. Most of my carbon footprint comes from Home because I work hard trying to help my large family of seven. My Food results really surprised me because I don't always eat all 3 meals a day, I sort of snack every once in a while. What I have learned through this project is that some actions use more carbon than other actions do. With that being said there are ways to reduce the amount of carbon I use on an everyday bases like riding my bike more often or eating more natural grown food items instead of baked and fried foods. My carbon footprint is pretty low but I am going to try and bring it down in the next coming months.
