Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Meats contribute to Carbon Footprint
Eating meat contribute to your carbon footprint so you should eat less meat and more veggies. Be a vegetarian! (Not necessary because what you might eat veggies made out of meat!!!)
You can decrease your carbon footprint by 25% if you don't eat any meat!
Yes I agree, considering how much resources are needed to raise animals for meat, it is extremely wasteful. A 1/3 pound burger takes 660 gallons of water to grow! As a vegetarian, I can tell you it really is not hard to become one. Do it for yourself, the animals, and the environment!
I actually became vegetarian for this very reason. I have been vegetarian for almost a year now and calculating my carbon foot print, It was very small in comparison to a lot of the meat eaters that were in my class. Being vegetarian has made life so much easier and I have actually been improvements in my own health because I am eating better and more organic foods.
Yes I agree, eating less meat will decrease your carbon footprint by quite a lot. I am a vegetarian and realized that my carbon footprint is much lower than lot of other students or friends my age. Eating more vegetables and fruit not only are healthier for you but healthier for the environment.
I agree with the meat reducing the carbon footprint. also i am not sure if you know this but reduction of red meat improves a longer life.
