Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My carbon footprint Spain
Hi, I'm Paula and I'm from Spain. I predicted that my footprint would be about the same as the average person in my country, and lower than the average human. Finally, my footprint is lower than in Spain and a bit more than the worldwide. In transportation, I don't spent so much because I usually go walking to the places. At home I use more or less like the average for Spain because we're many at home. In food we spend little in my house because we try to eat healthy and don't throw any food . Finally, at home, we don't spend much on purchases because we tried to spend as little as possible. In my home we recycle all: glass , plastic, paper , organic waste ... I think everyone should help a bit for our planet, to continue enjoying it.
We always have recycled at my house. I love our planet and wish people were more concerned and would try to save it. It's very awesome that you walk to places. We normally drive everywhere, which I don't like.
Hi Paula. We also try to recycle at my house when ever we can. I think it's great that you try and help the earth as much as you do!
In my house, we also make an effort to recycle all of the glass, plastic, paper, and other organic materials that we use. As for transportation, we’re very different. I use a school bus to get to and from school everyday, and use a car to get to most of the other places I need to go. That’s probably why my transportation total is so high. I’m assuming yours is much lower than mine since you walk most places.
