Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Vegetarianism is a great way to go
Hi Im Tatjana-
I am a vegetarian and I want to share that it is such a great way to reduce your carbon footprint. One of the reasons I became vegetarian is because I noticed that meat is a big part of the reason why CO2 is in the air. Meat production releases a lot of toxins that are bad for the atmosphere. Also, I decided to become vegetarian because it is a healthier way to eat and since I have became a vegetarian, I have felt so much healthier than I did when I ate meat. I noticed that when I went through my carbon footprint calculator results, my food section was very small in comparison to a lot of my other classmates because me not eating meat lowers the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere.
In conclusion, I would recommend becoming vegetarian if you really want to lower your carbon footprint because it helps the earth, but you benefit as well.
