Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Reuse your clothes
I think that you should reuse your clothes because it makes less trash go to the dump if you don't throw them away. If you don't know who to give them to in your family donate them to a Goodwill or something like that. I personally wear lots of clothes from past family members just because its convenient and doesn't cost any money.
me too, thanks for your ideas!
I do this as well. After clothes don't fit me anymore I usually give all of them to relatives and cousins.
This is always a good idea just because people throw out so much clothing every year. Even if it's too ratty to donate it, there's always something you can do with those old shirts and jeans. Jeans can almost always be repurposed into shorts, shirts can be made into rags if need be. I've always donated my clothes rather than throwing them away anyway, it just makes more sense. In addition to this, thrifting your clothing rather than buying new is always smart. It's more cost efficient and it keeps us from having all this extra fabric being thrown away and ending up in our landfills.
All my life has been hand-me-downs, I'm a younger sister. She and I still to this day exchange clothes, I resell my clothes, I buy used clothes. The only items I throw away are undergarments.
