Why does travel have so much carbon
I was wondering how come the travel section was worth so much of the carbon footprint.I did not even fly last year and my travel went well over 5,000. Furthermore the people who did fly went almost over 20,000 on their carbon footprint in the travel section alone. Is it like this due to the amount of fuel being burned of how long the fuel is being burned in each flight.
Is travel the highest section in other countries too or only the U.S. I feel like countries like Denmark and Africa would have lower travel than the U.S. because these are countries that usually have more foot traffic. Would someone please elaborate.
