Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Food Waste

cassidycLLHS

If we buy food that comes in plastic containers, bags, or glass bottles, it becomes a lot of junk. We can stop waste from food that comes in containers like this, which sometimes is mostly junk food, by not buying it as often. Its safer in the environment growing your own fruits and vegetables or having chickens in your yard because it helps with putting out less carbon. Overall you should buy the foods that are good for you and that aren't processed, so you can give off less carbon, and make you footprint smaller.
