Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Reduce your Carbon Footprint with Transportation
While its expensive to own a electric car it helps reduce your carbon footprint and saves you money long term, it also helps reduce emissions produce by cars. One way you can reduce your footprint is by carpooling, where you travel to a location with other people to save on gas and you would only use one car to travel. If you are traveling by air you might want to consider "green" airlines that are more fuel efficient. The most effective way to reduce your carbon footprint would be to bike or walk to places that are within reasonable distance, this would also improve your physical health.
Carpooling is an incredibly easy way to save gas, and you'll have more fun driving with others than you would by yourself. I don't know much about electric cars, but how would they be able to save you money? If you're not paying for gas aren't you still paying for electricity used to charge the car?
Another option would be using services like uber or lyft as well.
