Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Energy Efficient
If I had my own house, I would be very energy efficient. There are many places and way to live to be very consciously aware. If I wanted to be the most energy and life savingly efficient, I would first off move to an energy efficient place. Vancouver, Canada laid out a plan to become the world’s greenest city by 2020. Hydroelectric power already makes up 90% of the city’s energy. The other 10 percent has renewables like wind and solar. Ways to actually improve your energy is simple. Unplugging unused chargers, or lowering your thermostat are just some ways to improve it. Maybe don’t take as long showers, and if they are long, keep the temperature closer to cold then hot. Installing solar panels is another way. Although expensive, they have many benefits. Living closer to your school or work place will lower gas mileage.
