Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Hunter's Carbon Footprint (Mooresville, NC, USA)
My name is Hunter and I am 15 years old in the 9th grade at Mooresville High School located in Mooresville, NC, USA. I got the following results after entering my information into the carbon footprint calculator:
Transportation - 5,996
Home - 3,925
Food - 3,263
Purchases - 653
Total Footprint - 13,836
My total was below the North Carolina average. I figured it would be somewhat the same or lower because I don't do a lot of shopping and I have a small family. When I meet up with friends I usually ride my bike unless it is too far. I only have 3 family members and we are pretty good about turning off the lights when not in the rooms and not overflowing the trash cans with garbage and food. Some things I can do to make my footprint even lower is to ride my bike or walk more, and even carpool. Also, I could make sure lights and water are turned off when I'm not using them.
