Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My carbon footprint
After completing the questionnaire, i noticed that the carbon value which came from transportation was quite high, fact which impressed me because we use our car only in weekends when we have to transport a lot of things. I estimated that our weekly distance travelled with car was from 60 km to 150 km depending on cases and sometimes even higher. I got to this estimation because in working days, I go to school on foot and also does my family. The period when we use our car the most is between June and August when we go on excursions or travel through the country. I think that the value was raised by car's consumtion, not the distance it travelled in a year. At this time, there are not enough facts for electric or hybrid cars to be used because of the missing recharging places. I would like to get some suggestions about the ways of reducing the carbon used for transportation.
