Santerra's Carbon Footprint (Mooresville, North Carolina, USA)
My name is Santerra, I am 16 years old and I am from Mooresville, North Carolina in the United States. My carbon footprint total was 30,963, which was above-average compared to the average of my region's carbon footprint that's about 15,918. The majority of my carbon footprint came from transportation. I wasn't really surprised my transportation was so high because, I participate in a lot of after school activities and I had to drive to and from my school every week, I also have a lot of family that live far away from where I live, which caused my transportation footprint to be higher than the average footprint in my region. From all this, I learned our carbon footprint has a big impact on the Earth and I need to be more alert with the tasks I do on a daily basis. In the future to decrease my carbon footprint I can try to walk to and from school and try to visit my family once a month instead of every weekend.
