Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Reduce consumption

denisabaicu

After I calculated my carbon footprint, I realised that I use a lot of carbon and I tried to reduce my consumption. Before, I used to made economy just for my family's bill and I didn't know that I'm using also carbon. I tried to use less hot water when I wash my dishes and to take shorter showers. I also pay attention to light consumption and I don't eat from fast food. Any ideas how to reduce more my carbon footprint?

First of all, I would recommend you to reduce the use of the technology and also, if you can convince your family to use the vehicles less.
Moreover, in my opinion, a lot of carbon is being used during the cold seasons, so, any idea could be to use blankets to warm you while sleeping, so no more carbon would be used.
