Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

CITY BIKES
Hi, so I don't know about where you guys live but I live in Seattle. we have these things like Lime Bike and Spin, which are bikes that you can scan with your smart phone, and ride them wherever. What I realized is that now you have people riding around on these bikes without helmets. I also feel that this is a great way to have an easier way of public transportation, while also reducing our city's carbon footprint.
I agree they are great, but people should wear helmets! Even though you're not "supposed" to buy used bicycle helmets, you can find them at second hand stores really cheap. In my opinion, it's worth having one to carry around with you if you are going to ride a city bike.
I agree. I think that city bikes are a great way to get around in the city. They’re cheap and far better for the environment. Also, they don’t emit any carbon. It is true that they can be less safe than cars, but it is as better alternative for the environment.
Seattle's bike share programs are a great form of public transportation. They are practically everywhere and you can find one without even trying. The bike's electronics are solar powered reducing our carbon foot print further while also promoting fitness. Also, to mention about the potential dangers of riding, Seattle's every improving bicycle infrastructure is helping to minimize the risks of injury.
Seattle's bike programs are a great way of transportation without driving, therefore reducing our carbon footprint. I know many people who ride these bikes to school or back home after school and I see a lot of people using these bikes everywhere I go. But I also feel that people should wear helmets especially the people who are riding them in downtown Seattle because of the busy traffic and you should definitely wear a helmet every time you ride any kind of bike.
I agree.
