My Carbon footprint (North Carolina, USA)
My average carbon footprint is 8,780 and my region average is 15918.Most of the carbon that I create is from home which is 4,368 kgs,most of it comes from the gas that fuels our water heater and other carbon producers like incandescent light bulbs. Surprisingly our transportation produced the smallest amount of carbon which was 347 kgs, its probably so low because we rarely travel out of the state.The carbon from our food consumption is 3,537 kgs and the region carbon consumption from food is 3,636 kgs,we eat organic and lots of vegetables most of the time so thats probably why its lower then our regions.Lastly, our purchases thats 528 kgs, not even half of my regions average purchases.Overall, I'm very conservative so thats why my average footprint is lower then my region.
Tyreke, it is interesting to me that your transportation was the least amount of carbon footprint because that was my most! Our purchases are similar, but our food consumption is complete opposite! In my house, we don't eat very healthy!
Yeah Mine was the lowest too and my home was the highest because I stay home a lot but the transportation is extremely low that is very shocking to me.
Tyreke, I think that it is very interesting that transportation is the lowest for you, and I think that the fact that it is under 500 kgs is crazy!
Tyreke, that's crazy that your transportation is only 347. Mine was 5,996 and that is a lot compared to yours. You should feel proud that your not releasing a lot of carbon from transportation!
