Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint
Hi my name is Mikey H. I am from Mooresville, North Carolina, USA. I am 16 years old. My total was 59,600 of Co2 per year. This total high above the average. The majority of my total came from driving and plane flying. I took about 22 hours of flying total and a lot more hours of driving to travel. I was pretty shocked about this because I didn't realize how much I use. I do have a family of five which can explain a decently high home total as well. I learned that I could use driving a little bit more sparsely than driving everywhere. I can use less transportation than driving myself everywhere.
My carbon footprint was much lower at 11,025. I drive much less but my transportation was still more than the average. The majority of my C02s came from transportation as well. I only have a family of three so that could be why my total was so much less than yours. I think I could also benefit from taking public transportation more and driving a car less.
