Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

First hand experience with hurricane's effect on animals.

samshultz

I read an article about how the hurricanes in both Florida and Houston displaced some very odd animals. What I also read talked about how you shouldn't be surprised to find odd animals strolling through your yard or neighborhood, because like you, they are negatively impacted and trying to adapt to what catastrophe has happened. I actually have direct witness to this. I was in Fort Meyers Florida right before Irma hit, and there were huge floods and storms while I was there. As I rode my bike through the end of the pouring rain, and though the flooded streets, I almost ran over a giant fish in a parking lot, while cruising around in the flooded waters for fun. I feel that this is an issue.

This is an issue, but it would by now it would be very hard to restore Florida's previous wild life and state

Maybe there is a way to prevent before the issue, instead of waiting after the devastation?
