Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Malik S.Carbon Footprint Mooresville ( North Carolina, USA)
Hi my name is Malik, Im 17 years old & I’m from Mooresville, North Carolina (USA). The total of my footprint was 5,438 kg, My total was about the same as a average person,Majority of my footprint came from Home. My results were very shocking to me. I thought i would have a Higher average on my footprint. What surprised me was that my Transportation total was very low. I would say it is low because i ride the bus to school & back home, And if i want to hangout with a friend or go somewhere i usually will walk. In the future i think i should ask for rides instead of walking everywhere i need to go
Transportation: 363 Kgs
Home: 2,387 Kgs
Food: 2,342 Kgs
Purchases: 346 Kgs
Hi! I think it's a good start. You should turn off the lights when you leave the house. You should sometimes to ride to school by bike ![]()
