Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

carbon footprint

Halle

My name is Halle and am from Mooresville north Carolina I'm 14 years old. The total of my carbon footprint was 21,227kgs and it was above average. Most of my carbon footprint came from home. I think what i need to start doing is turn off the water when I'm brushing my teeth and turn off the light that I don't need.

Thats a good way to save energy but you could also take less time in showers and ruduce the things you do in your home.

Unlike you with an above average foot print I have a low average I like how you can change your carbon footprint by turning off the water when you are brushing your teeth
