Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint (Mooresville, North Carolina)
My name is Peggy Hobbs, I am 14 years old. My total carbon footprint is 8,216. That is below average. Most of my carbon footprint comes from transportation. I am a very busy person most of the time so I should've expected for transportation to be the majority of my carbon footprint, but I expected home to be since I have a lot of people living in my house. I learned that even though I don't go very far from home during my daily routine, it still adds up a lot! In the future, in order to decrease my amount of carbon footprint I will need to start walking or riding a bike to places rather than getting a ride from my mom.
Wow I thought everyone in our classroom was going to be all above average but you are really low.
Awesome! A busy person with a low carbon footprint,I think thats pretty good!
You have a very low carbon foot print compared to me thats really good ! Becca Mooresville NC USA 15
My transportation was high too. We go everywhere all the tim and are alway out. We travel bac and forth to where i used to live and the is a lot of people living in my house so i also though that my home would be high.
