Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint

BriannaE

My name is Brianna and I am 14 years old. I am from North Carolina in the United States. My total carbon footprint was 21,373 kgs, which is considered to be higher than the average citizen of North Carolina.  Out of all the sections of my carbon footprint calculation, my transportation was the highest. This is most likely due to the fact that during vacations, my family and I like to travel to distant locations such as countries in Europe. One way that I could limit these emissions is by recommending more local trips to my family.
