Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint

dottieks

My carbon footprint was a lot higher than I thought it would be. The energy used in my house was a lot more than the region's amount of energy used in their house. My average for my house was 15,173 and the average for the region's house was 6,148.

Wow Dottie! You're carbon footprint was pretty high. You must travel a lot.

Your carbon footprint is still great! average is around the 15,000 area, and its way healthier than mine soooo smile
Keep up the good work!

Your carbon footprint was large, you should try to find ways to lower it.

That is not good that it is a lot higher because that can be bad for the environment. But overall good job!

It may be high now but there are easy ways to lower it fast... Just start slow and turn off the lights when you leave a room.

zoelyssa

Im sure if you start turning off the lights and watching how much electricity and water you use it will go down quickly.
