Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint

Hello! My name is Tyler Williams, and I am 14 from Charlotte, North Carolina. My total was 11,842 which is below average. My total was mostly low because I don't spend as much on food as I do on home things . My highest out of all was transportation because I like to travel  a lot but not really on airplanes. I guess I could lessen my carbon footprint by doing more things at home that could conserve water and other things.

I have to travel a lot on airplanes too and that caused a huge increase in my carbon footprint, but it is good that you don't spend that much on food so it should be even with that.
