Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint
Hi, my name is Paxton and I am from the United States and my carbon footprint is 31,208 kgs. It is higher than my average region which is 15,918 kgs. I think mine is higher because i have a big family and we travel often. For example, my parents are divorced and my mom lives 30 minutes away from my dad, so every day I go to and from school I drive 30 minutes. Also I have family members that live far away so when we see them, we drive a long time as well. My footprint needs to be lower, it is too high for an average family, we could try to save more energy by not taking as many extra trips, turning off lights when we are done using them, and not takin as long showers.
Try not to travel as much or walk to your moms house.
Just make sure you don't try to travel as much, even though your parents are divorced try to see if your parents can meet halfway, so you don't have to drive as much and try to limit your travel use. If you try to cut down on electricity and pollution use then you will be fine .
Try not to travel that much you can ride a bike or walk to your mom house.
Paxton, to help the environment maybe instead using ac when you're in the car roll down the windows to help conserve energy.
This is understanding with the distance between the places you have to be.
Your carbon footprint is double mine. This must mean that you travel a lot more.
Paxton your carbon footprint is really high you should try to cut down on traveling and ride a bike or walk.
My carbon footprint was also very high due to transportation and traveling! My total was over 20,000 because I took about 7 trips this year.
My carbon footprint is above average but it is not high to the point it is concerning. Maybe your carbon footprint is only higher during some years or something like that.
Our carbon footprint was very close. Im going to try to turn off lights and try to walk more like you.
