Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint-MHS
My name is Tyce Norman I'm 17 years old from Mooresville High School in North Carolina. My results for my carbon footprint surprised me in that they were much lower than what I was expecting. My total was 8,929 kgs with the transportation was 3,391 kgs, home was 3546 kgs, food was 1757 kgs, and purchases was 235 kgs. All of these are lower than the school average and the class average. I believe I have a lower average is due to the fact that my family and I don't have a need to drive very far or often. I could still reduce my footprint by using less heating in the winter and using less air conditioning in the summer. I could start to use more blankets and wearing layers in the winter and use fans less often in the summer.
