Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint
The biggest problem in my carbon footprint was the home energy use. I live with a family of four, and we use a lot of electricity. Whenever we leave to go out somewhere, we need to keep the light on for my dog in case we're late. I think a solution to lowering my footprint is to keep the lights off so our energy will not be consumed so much.
I can relate to this because this is what my family does for our dog. I think an alternative to leaving the lights on would simply be to turn them off because this energy is saved and the dog will probably go to sleep.
I can relate to this because i live with a family of 9 and we tend to use a LOT of energy and some of my siblings don't turn the lights/tv off
Keeping the lights on nearly 24/7 really affects your footprint negatively. If you can, leave them off whenever you leave. If you can't do that, then I would recommend replacing them with florescent bulbs.
