Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

More Carpool and Less Gas usage
By carpooling just twice a week, 1,600 pounds of greenhouse gases can be kept out of the air each year. Carpooling is the best option. Instead of driving by yourself and using up a lot of gas causing you to produce toxins into the air. If 100 people were to take advantage of the carpool option every day, more than of 1,320 pounds of carbon monoxide and 2,376,000 pounds of carbon dioxide could be removed from the air. One of the best solution to cut down is to use electric cars. The average cost for a gallon of regular gasoline in the US over the past two years was $2.35/gallon. Using 15,000 miles as the average amount of miles a person will drive in a year. Using this electric option is indeed the best option.
I agree with what you said and some action needs to be taken. I think the only downside is that electric cars are very expensive. Most people cannot afford that and continue to use regular cars. Maybe you can find a solution for the price of electric cars?
Finding a solution for the price of electric cars is something that needs to be done . We need to find more affordable prices, maybe creating and offering different types of programs where you can recieve money in order to pay for things you cannot afford. Such as electric cars.
