Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint

paulgbod3mcw

When I tested my carbon footprint, I was stunned to see that my home carbon footprint was almost triple the region average at 10,543 kgs! The carbon footprint from food was almost 1,000 kgs above the region average at 3,164 kgs. Overall, my footprint was about 5,500 kgs over my region average at 15,223 kgs. I was embarrassed with this score and will try to lower my carbon footprint as much as I can.
