Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

cars have plastic in them...
Then what would we use for transportation?
Do you want metal in them? Platic is light and cool!
But plastic is bad for our environment. Metal might be better?
Stephen I know that plastic is in cars but until we can find a replaceable and an item as versatile as plastic we can't do anything. It isn't that we don't have the resource and it could be easily be replaced by metal but the cost would rise drastically and a lot more people wouldn't be able to afford a car. The car with plastic is lighter and metal would only slow cars down. All for replacing a few cup holders. Then cars will use more carbon dioxide and we will have a same problem in another form.
The miles per hour would go down drastically relative to the weight of the car, increasing gas prices and raising gas intake. This will cause a huge rise in CO2 lvls.
