Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Name is Tamera and im 15 years old ,  When I calculated my Carbon Footprint , most of my totals are over average .
Totals are :
Transportation : 4,929
Home : 5,232
Food : 4,695
Purchases : 605
total : 15461
My total footprint Is about average. The majority of my footprint came from my home . I was very surprised because of my home average. To make my carbon footprint to decrease , I may have to use things different in my home , then I was before . My second average to the highest  is 4,695 and thats the total of my food . The average of my food is so high because , we go eat out everyday , when were hungry we go out and get food from fast food restaurants . To decrease my food average , I should eat more healthy & I think I should start laying off the fast food restaurants everyday .

749400

My total was a little bit below this.I suggest that you purchase fluorescent lights or reduce the amount of electricity used in the household
