Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

We need to use solar power more

bdepalm

There is over one million people in america who use solar power, but we still have many Americans who don't use Solar power. Solar power is a renewable resource that in my opinion is getting under utilized.

I agree that solar panels should be used more than they are being used currently, but we must take into account that they are very expensive and most people cannot afford them. If somebody is able to afford them, then yes, they should use them, but lower-income families/people should not be expected to install them on their own. One solution could be starting or donating to charity drives that help install solar panels in low-income neighborhoods.
