I could reduce my carbon footprint in area "home" because in that category I have 10409 kg and average in my region is 1956 kg. In others categories I have lower kg of CO₂ than is it in my region.

Davor, here are some ways you could significantly reduce your carbon footprint at home:
• buy/eat locally grown food
• insulate your home well to reduce your dependence on heaters and air conditioning
• switch to fluorescent lightbulbs
• purchase energy efficient appliances
• unplug electronics when not in use
• use cold water as opposed to hot (laundry/dishwasher)

I am from the USA and your footprint is drastically smaller than my footprint weighing 50,178 pounds!!
It is also smaller than the average person who lives in my state of Florida (28,913 pounds)! Looks like I could take some tips from you. What is some advice you could give me on the way you live?

While your average CO2 per year is higher than most Croatians, it is still lower than most Floridians (13,115kg/year)! We could ALL reduce our CO2 emissions by making simple changes like making sure we turn off the lights and electronics we aren't using, not overusing the electric air conditioners or heaters, eating locally grown foods (or having your own garden!) and purchasing less products made from factories. In what ways do you think your house uses more than other Croatians?

My carbon footprint was 13894 kg of CO₂ per year, compared to an average of 20301 kg in my area. So you shouldn't feel bad.

I think that it is surprising to see how low the carbon footprint average compared to the USA. Maybe it would be good to still find ways to reduce your footprint by using less transportation or food, etc.

My name is Deborah and I'm actually surprised that the average is actually really low. My average for mine was around 26,000. I think mine was higher than the average.

Our averages were similar. Mine being a little more than yours (14,370). I think with a little work like eating more local food, replacing our light bulbs with new more efficient light bulbs and maybe taking a bike here and there we can drop our averages lower.
